British Airways strike update

With a second strike by its cabin crew underway, British Airways has managed to keep most of its transatlantic schedule intact. The latest strike ends on March 30.

On March 27, British Airways flight schedule status at major US airports included:

New York area–five out of seven departing and arriving flights were operating.

  • Washington area–all four flights from/to London were flying.

  • Los Angeles–two out of three scheduled flights to/from London remain on the schedule.

  • Chicago–all flights operating (two each way)

  • Atlanta, Dallas–the single scheduled arriving and departing flights were operating in both cities.

Travelers should check the British Airways website frequently for updates and information on rescheduling.

During the strike period, the airline has reduced some on-board and other services, such as meal selection and special baggage services. No word on whether the Unite cabin crew union will call for additional walkouts in April.
