Abbey Road Studios, made famous by the Beatles iconic Abbey Road album, are apparently not up for sale after all. According to EMI, the owner of the recording studios, the property will not be sold, but the company is looking at option to enhance and preserve the historic property. Step one in that process came this week as the site was designated a Grade II historic property by the UK government.

National Trust may purchase Abbey Road Studios
Abbey Road Studios–where the Beatles recorded countless hits–is up for sale. The historic significance of the site has generated calls for the British National Trust to purchase the studios. For more information, see the National Trust website.
